RC West KFOR's donation for the Simultaneous Language Interpretation Laboratory at the "Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova was inaugurated

The University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova has marked an important moment for the academic and professional development of its students on the occasion of inauguration of the donation from KFOR West Regional Command, dedicated to the support of the Professional Laboratory of Linguistic Interpretation in regards to the Faculty of Philology.

This important investment provides an extraordinary opportunity for the students of the study program ‘’English Language-Translation and Interpretation’’, enabling them to stimulate professional simultaneous translation, with modern equipment and of international standards.

The Donation is a result of the mutual commitment of the Rector of the University, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku and Vice-rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Ass. Dr. Nazli Tyfekçi. For more than one year, several consequent meetings have taken place with KFORI representatives, addressing clearly the need for a professional laboratory. This cooperation has likewise paved the way that, in a near future, to start lecturing Italian language in UFAGJ.

In the name of University, Rector Bunjaku expressed his special thanks for the Commander Francesco Errico and all other members of RC West who contributed in the completion of this infrastructural donation. He emphasized that KFOI, apart from its mission for peace and stability in Kosovo, is playing a significant role also in the educational development of the country. The University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova is one of a few universities in Kosovo that possesses a professional laboratory for simultaneous interpretation.

On the other hand, Commander Errico expressed his happiness and pride for the opportunity to contribute to the professional preparation of the students. "I am pleased and happy that this donation is taking shape today. I hope that the students will make the most of this laboratory in building their professional careers," he said.

This event was attended by: Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs Prof. Assoc. Dr. Dafinë Kaçuri, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Labinot Berisha, Vice-Dean, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Senad Neziri, as well as part of the academic staff, who welcomed this donation and considered it an important step for the further advancement of academic quality at our university.
