The Faculty of Philology Conducted Professional Training for the Academic Staff of the English Language – Translation and Interpreting Program

Today, at the Faculty of Philology, a professional training session was held for the academic staff of the “English Language – Translation and Interpreting” program. The activity took place in the Translation and Interpreting Laboratory, which is equipped with professional interpreting booths, microphones, headsets, an audio transmission system, and state-of-the-art digital technology equipment.

This laboratory represents a unique infrastructure at the university level in the country, featuring equipment that is not available in any other higher education institution. It provides ideal conditions for the practical development of translation and interpreting classes, in line with international standards in this field.

The training was conducted by Mr. Arif Kastrati, an expert in the use of translation and interpreting equipment from the company “Translation Center,” who demonstrated the practical operation of the professional simultaneous interpreting system and the use of audio equipment in the teaching process.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to engage in practical exercises using the laboratory equipment and to become familiar with modern methods of simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, which will be implemented in future teaching activities.

The aim of this activity was to enhance the professional competencies of the academic staff and to improve teaching practices, ensuring that students of the “English Language – Translation and Interpreting” program are well-prepared for the contemporary labor market in the field of translation and interpreting.
