Training Organized for Students on “Cybersecurity and Online Privacy”
The Didactic Center for Excellence in Teaching, in cooperation with the Intellectual Association “Jakova,” organized a training session for students of the University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova on the topic “Cybersecurity and Online Privacy.” The training was held on 30 December 2025 at the university premises.
The training was led by cybersecurity expert MSc. Yll Ferizi and aimed to provide students with basic and practical knowledge regarding the challenges and risks associated with the use of technology and the internet in the digital age.
During the training, students were introduced in detail to the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity, the most common forms of online threats such as phishing, malware, and personal data theft, as well as the importance of protecting privacy on digital platforms and social networks. Practical tips and concrete guidance were also provided on securing personal accounts, using strong passwords, and managing personal data online.
The training was characterized by active student participation, interactive discussions, and the exchange of experiences between the lecturer and participants.
All students interested and passionate about technology, digital security, and the safe use of the internet were invited to attend. Participants expressed great interest in the topics covered and highlighted their importance for both academic and professional life.
This training represents an important step toward raising awareness and developing students’ digital competencies, contributing to the creation of a safer and more responsible academic environment in the online space.
Rector Drilon Bunjaku welcomed all participating students and thanked the Association of Intellectuals “Jakova” and expert Yll Ferizi for their support through the delivery of a professional training on a highly important topic.
The President of the Association of Intellectuals “Jakova,” Prof. Dr. Ruzhdi Sefa, expressed his satisfaction that the association is directly contributing to raising awareness and educating students on contemporary issues of particular importance, emphasizing that such activities strengthen the association’s role in serving knowledge, youth, and social development.
The Head of the Didactic Center, Prof. Dr. Sindorela Doli, thanked the lecturer for providing this training for the students and for his readiness to cooperate with the university. At the same time, she emphasized that the Didactic Center for Excellence in Teaching remains committed to offering activities that, in addition to promoting excellence in teaching, also contribute to raising students’ awareness of today’s digital challenges.
