At the Faculty of Applied Sciences of “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, a post-accreditation visit was conducted for the study program in Software Engineering (BSc), as part of the ongoing process of academic quality evaluation and the institutionalization of quality assurance standards.

The evaluation team consisted of two international external experts and two representatives of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), from the Post-Accreditation Procedures Division. The visit was carried out according to a predefined agenda and included a series of meetings and evaluation activities.

The visit began with a meeting with the faculty management, where key issues related to the strategic development, functioning, and future perspective of the study program were discussed. In this context, the achievements to date, challenges, and plans for further advancement of the program were presented, in alignment with labor market demands and international standards.

Subsequently, the focus of the visit shifted to the evaluation of infrastructure and laboratory capacities. The evaluation team visited teaching facilities, specialized laboratories, modern equipment used for practical project development, as well as supporting infrastructure for academic and extracurricular activities. During this segment, the experts highly appreciated the progress made by the Faculty of Applied Sciences in developing modern infrastructure and laboratory equipment, emphasizing that these resources create optimal conditions for achieving program objectives and developing students’ practical competencies.

This positive assessment, also supported by the growing interest of high school graduates in this study program, provides a strong foundation for its further development. The high demand for studies in Software Engineering, combined with broad professional development prospects and strong employment opportunities in both local and international markets, demonstrates the relevance and sustainability of this program within the university’s academic offerings.

The visit continued with a second meeting, attended by program coordinators, the representative of the Quality Assurance Office, and administrative staff. During this meeting, the progress achieved since accreditation was discussed in detail, including the implementation of expert recommendations, curriculum development, strengthening links with industry, and the continuous improvement of academic and administrative processes.

In accordance with the KAA Regulation on Monitoring and Post-Accreditation Procedures, the purpose of this visit was to verify the program’s compliance with accreditation standards and to assess the level of implementation of the recommendations and commitments undertaken by the institution.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences remains committed to meeting the highest standards of higher education and to the continuous improvement of quality, with the aim of preparing competent and competitive professionals for the local and international labor market, particularly in the fields of technology, automation, and intelligent systems.
