Discussion with Students on the Revision of the Second Year Syllabus in the English Language Program – Translation and Interpretation
The coordinators of the English Language – Translation and Interpretation program, Mejreme Ymeri and Elsa Vula, held a focus group meeting with second-year students to review the study program, as part of the continuous improvement of teaching quality and the academic development of the program.
During the meeting, students’ experiences, challenges, and suggestions were discussed regarding course content, teaching methodology, and the organization of academic activities.
Special focus was given to:
development of skills in reading, writing, and academic communication;
advancement of translation and interpretation skills;
use of interactive teaching methods;
integration of technology and online materials in the learning process;
organization of practical work and group activities;
linking theory with professional practice.
Students shared comments and concrete suggestions for improving the curriculum, increasing the practical component, and further developing professional competencies in the field of translation and interpretation.
The meeting serves as part of the program’s ongoing commitment to offering a modern curriculum aligned with students’ academic and professional needs.
