Study Visit of Master's Students in Albanian Language to Shkodër

As part of the academic activities of the Master's Program in Albanian Language, specifically within the course “Linguistic Geography,” a study visit was organized to Shkodër with the participation of first-year Master's students in Albanian Language and professors from the Faculty of Philology at the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova.

As part of this academic activity, the participants initially visited the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Literature within the Faculty of Social Sciences, hosted by the Dean, Associate Professor Artan Haxhi. During the visit, they were introduced to the facilities and academic fields offered by the “Luigj Gurakuqi” University of Shkodër.

Furthermore, the participants visited the University Library of Shkodër, where the students and professors from the Faculty of Philology of the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova were welcomed by the Library Director, Alketa Bekteshi, and her staff. They were introduced to the library’s rich collection, particularly in the field of Albanology.

As part of the visit, meetings and discussions were also held regarding the specific dialectal variants of the region, in connection with the course “Linguistic Geography.”

The study visit was warmly welcomed by the hosts, facilitating the exchange of valuable academic and research information between the academic staff and Master's students in Albanian Language. The visit successfully achieved its objective of strengthening and expanding scientific cooperation, paving the way for its continuation at the institutional level.
