Following the Monitoring Process by Officials of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, the Fulfillment of Standards for the Albanian Language (MA) Programme Receives High Assessment
On May 5, 2026, the Faculty of Philology at the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova welcomed the monitoring team of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), as part of the monitoring process for accredited study programmes. The Albanian Language (MA) study programme, accredited for the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2029, was also included in the monitoring process. The monitoring was conducted in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulations of the KAA, with the aim of verifying the continued fulfillment of accreditation and quality standards in the implementation of the programme.
During the visit, the monitoring team reviewed the relevant documentation, observed the teaching process, visited the teaching facilities, and held meetings with the faculty management. Meetings were also held with students, who expressed their satisfaction with the study conditions, infrastructure, academic staff, and available literature.
The final monitoring report concludes that the study plan of the Albanian Language (MA) programme is being implemented in accordance with the accreditation decision and that no changes have been made to the programme holders. It also assesses that the teaching process is generally conducted according to the published schedule, while justified changes are managed through the reorganization of lectures and timely notification of students.
The report also highlights the faculty’s quality assurance practices, including the analysis of student questionnaires, the development and implementation of action plans, as well as the organization of regular meetings with alumni.
This result confirms the commitment of the Faculty of Philology and the “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova to maintaining and advancing quality standards in higher education, by providing a study programme that meets the requirements of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency and the academic needs of students.
